Using assets in my presentation video?
Hello,
I want to include some plans from a AllBlack's youtube channel video.
As you introduced this channel as an asset for the challenge, I imagine it's OK to use it, isn't it?

Hi guillaumedelafos,
Thanks for writing. Can you clarify what you mean by "include some plans"?
On the Resources Page, we link to the New Zealand All Blacks YouTube Channel as a way to learn more about rugby: "Rugby 101 - Don’t know much about Rugby? Check out the All Blacks Rugby 101 videos, USA Rugby's youth rugby videos, and the AIG Youtube channel, and theNew Zealand All Blacks YouTube channel to get up to speed."
However, I want to clarify that the YouTube Channel is not included as a resource in the AIG Rugby Innovation Challenge Data and Assets, which is the official dataset for this challenge. You can utilize other resources, APIs, or datasets in your app, but you must be authorized to use them.
Best,
Megan

My idea was to illustrate some features of my application thanks to images/sequences kept from the Allblacks or AIG's youtube channel.
Is it allowed?

Hi guillaumedelafos,
As the New Zealand All Blacks YouTube Channel was not provided for use in this challenge, please do not use its content in your submission. Additionally, please make sure that your app does not state or imply endorsement or approval by AIG, Opta Sports, the New Zealand All Blacks or USA Rugby without their written permission.
For your reference, I'm pasting the relevant section from the challenge rules below. Thanks, and please let me know if I can clarify!
All the best,
Megan

Ok, so I give up with this idea.
I'm going to use the images you provided in the assets folder to illustrate my screencast.
thanks

Hi Megan,
:-) . I appreciate the point about copyright must've been repeated a couple of times, but I've been under the impression that simply linking to Youtube videos (that have embed links within them) is OK from within our apps. This seems to be Youtube's direction at least on here: https://support.google.com/youtube/answer/171780?hl=en-GB . If that understanding is different to the view you hold, please let me know immediately. :-) Thank you.

Hi Thomas and gdg9,
A clarification to my previous statement: it is OK for you to link to or embed YouTube videos in your app. If you have questions about a specific video, please email me at support@challengepost.com.
Thanks,
Megan
