Cache data & run through checklist
Just one week to go! The AIG Rugby innovation Challenge submission period ends 5 p.m. ET on October 9, 2013. (Find out what time that is in your city.)
If you haven't created a draft yet, please do so now. And if you've just joined us recently, explore the quick-start guide, draw some inspiration from the AIG App Idea Bank, and have fun hacking all week long.
Submission checklist
Before you say "ship it!", here are some last minute reminders to help you make sure everything is in order.
- Have you incorporated at least one data feed from the AIG Opta Rugby Data?
- Did you make sure to cache all the data that your app uses?*
- Have you created a submission video? Does your video clearly demonstrate how your app works? Is it less than 5 minutes long? (Tip: How to make a great submission video)
- Have you included at least one or more screenshots of your app?
- Did you include step-by-step testing instructions, including instructions for how to download or access your app for testing, as well as login instructions if a login is required?
- If your app/video is not in English, did you provide an English translation of the demo video, text description, and testing instructions as part of your submission?
Since there are so many details to take care of, be sure to read through the official rules more than once. Or better yet, have a friend or colleague provide a second pair of eyes to make sure you didn’t miss anything.
Good luck. We can't wait to see what you'll create to bring rugby to the masses!
*Cache data
Since the AIG Opta Rugby Data feeds will not be available indefinitely after the challenge closes, please do not pull data directly from the data links. Instead, cache the data that your app uses.
